Fast and Slow

We live in a world
That never sits still
It moves, shakes, slides and flows
Often against our will

So we have to move too
Otherwise we'll be left behind
And in the so in this quick world
There isn't very much time

Often in this time we have things to do
We have choices to decide
And before we see what happens
Were swept along with the tide

So in this world of ours
As were rushing too and fro
In can often seem impossible
To take the time to be a little slow

"Impossible" they would say
"We'd all get left behind!"
But if you took a moment to look
You'd be surprised at what you'll find

Sure some people like it fast
Some make their livings out of being quick
But others like me like being slow
It gives us time to think

In gives us time to stop
And to see things as they are
Not as just as quick blur
Passing the window of a car

Yes the world will move on
Because life is itself a race
But I see nothing wrong
With going though it at your own pace
